I believe that Chinese is constantly changing and rather than teaching static knowledge written in textbooks, I rather focus on the Chinese of today and its ever changing usages.  I use interactive activities to help students visually understand Chinese. This helps students be able to grasp the Chinese language and become accustomed to using it.  I also use articles to teach students about Chinese culture. This gives students a better understanding of how to correctly use the Chinese language in a cultural context.
